There is One Love

that never blinks His eye

Good Friday, Morning

There was a time in my life where I was most zealous for my Lord.
When I had really began to grow, to really be maturing and growing for the first time.
In my heart I cried out in prayer,
“Let me meditate on Your word day and night, Lord.
Let it drip from my lips in the morning.
Let songs of praise to You be my tongue.”

And I have gone through seasons since where I have meditated day and night,
or sang all the time, or woke up thanking Him.
And I have experienced seasons where I did not sing to Him as much as my spirit desired, where I was “too busy”, “too tired” to meditate on His precepts day and night,
and when I’d wake up and go about my day as if I was entitled to it.

This morning I have woken up the way I dreamt of waking up for so long.
I opened my eyes, and my zealous heart broke out in verse,
“YOU ARE MY DAY. YOU ARE MY DAY. You are my life.”
And I began to praise Him and thank Him and ask for the healing and help for one I love.
I shared my desires with Him, to bless Him and entertain Him, His angels, the people in my life, to accomplish what it is We both long for me to accomplish,
to become closer to Him than I have ever been before,
to not take my desperate eyes off His perfect and glorious face.
I read a passage in His word[*] and now I am sharing what He has done in me, sharing the Truth that His Holy Spirit Lives and lives in ME.

And even though i will fail to live this way continually every morning, every day (since i am not perfect and i am a natural born sinner).. i HAVE done it and Will do it again, and do it MORE.
I am growing in our Lord's love and grace.
When my flesh wanted to sleep, ignore, follow it’s own way,
the Holy Spirit took the reigns and captivated my heart
by His truth and his love through Christ Jesus and began to mold me
and give me my heart’s desires as He promised
because my desires are His and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I am a blessed woman. I am blessed to be a CHILD OF GOD.
My God listens to my prayers and answers them even if I must wait,
He answers in HIS divine time
and sometimes He answers in ways that are not what I asked for but in ways that I needed.
His love is perfect.
God is perfect and God is love.
We are a blessed people to have a God such as this.
The only God that is True, Alive and worthy of praise.
Believe, my beloved, and follow Him into a perfectly joyous eternity.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

One thing the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) make clear, Jesus' death on the cross was no accident. Jesus knew the challenge that awaited him in Jerusalem and he walked into it to deliver us from the same fate.

If only we will face our challenges with a faith that God will lead us to triumph beyond our pain!

My Prayer...

Holy God and Loving Father, thank you for your plan to cover my sin with your grace by the death of your Son. May I live today aware of his sacrifice and confident of his victory over sin and death, so my life may reflect your victory. In the name of Jesus, my precious Savior, I pray. Amen."

I read Romans 3-7 about 2-3 times this week.
well,
God read it to me, because usually when i do "devotions", i'm reading the Bible just to feel better or accomplished that i read in His word that day.
I guess the times when I come to a deeper understanding of what I am reading and I can actually talk aloud to myself or some one else about what God has revealed,
i consider that to be when God reads to me. haha
Most of the time, i just understand the gist of it and ask God to help me apply it to my life and then i kind of forget about it.
But there's times like this week where, i feel like i can give a Bible study after i spend this time with Him.

well, anyway that was the iNtRo
In Chapter 3, it's talking about how everyone is unrighteous, but then at the end its starts getting into how we can become righteous through faith. I mean i've heard something like that so many times, but I never really understood the meaning. Righteous can be defined as being without guilt or sin. That definitely is not any one of us. But how else would we Christians get to Heaven without righteousness. The obvious answer that everyone knows: faith. But i never looked at it in the way that, because we have faith, we are "righteous"in the eyes of God through the grace of Christ. We are actually Righteous, JUST because we believe in His Son...
SCORE! dude we just can not comprehend how easy we have it. We don't even have to sacrifice animals or whatever they did back then anymore. We are righteous by faith.
Yeah. i thought that was awesome. Which it is.
This subject goes on through Chapter four as well, giving a fantastic example of faith from Abraham. I remember as a kid when i watched the Prince of Egypt and when God would "introduce" Himself, He'd say He is the God or the Father of Abraham, Issac(however you spell his name), and Jacob. I was like, ok? Why not the God of all the hebrews or all the people that worship and believe in You..

But in Romans 4:17, (As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.) Abraham is described as our father in the eyes of God just because his faith. Isn't that PHENOMENAL. I GOT ANOTHER DAD MANNNN yeeyuh. But that's not the point, i mean... faith is just so BIG. It's what qualified Abraham to be the father of millions of people. It is what qualifies us to live eternity in Heaven with our Lord<3

Chapter 5 contains one of my favorite verses:(3Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.)
I love that hope has a greater meaning than to wish for something. Our hope that we have in Christ is actually a reassurance. It will prevail and it is true and is withstanding. Our hope in Christ is a promise.
When I hope that i will have a fantastic career that glorifies God and gives me the income i need, I know that it will come to be, that is if it is according with God's will that im still alive long enough to get a job. I may have a dictionary version of hope that i will become a graphic designer, but my hope in Christ that my career will provide for me and glorify who He is, is a promise. That is so beautiful to me. Well, it's God who's beautiful<3

So the really powerful epiphany that i got this morning was, in Chapter 5:6-8.
(You see, at just the right time,
when we were still powerless,
Christ died for the ungodly.
Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man,
though for a good man someone might possibly
dare to die.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.)
If i were to ask you.. who would you die for...
what would you say?
Would you say, no one?

If there is some one... are they your friend or family member?
Would you die for some one who doesn't deserve to live?
Would you die for some one who continuously does evil things in your eyes throughout their life? Some one who lies and cheats and is selfish and greedy and who boasts in them self?
Would you die for two of those people? A million? Hundreds of generations worth of repulsive monsters?
Every time I've done something wrong
something evil
something that wasn't governed by love
something that was out of selfishness
Christ died for me.
Every moment and every situation that i have or will sin in,
Christ died for me in that very moment.
He didn't die for me because i was righteous or because i tried to live my life for Him.
He died because i sinned. Because i will sin.
While we might die for someone we think deserves to live, Christ died for those who did not deserve anything, but death.
How perfect and omniscient is our God?
He knowingly put a man in the world, that would sin to let death enter the world, so that He could then put another man in the world who never sinned, but died so that we could have righteousness through faith in Him.
God made a way for me. He loved me so much, that he made a way for me, his beautiful creation who could not help but sin, to some how spend eternity with Him in paradise.
Oh how beautiful My Father is<3

We learn in Chapter 6 that just because we have knowledge of that fact that we cannot help but sin, doesn't mean we should sin purposefully, thinking that our grace will increase just because of what it says in Chapter 5:20-21
(The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.)
This only means that our place in Heaven is secure no matter if we mess up on accident or if we do as He pleases, because God's grace is above all. And when we are about to sin, the grace of God empowers us to overcome it and live holy.

But because we are under grace that is all the more reason to go without sin.
If we were in enslaved to sin before our flesh died with Christ,
why in the world would we want to continue to sin as we now live in and through Christ?
We can either be chained to sin leading to death or
we can be slaves to righteousness leading to eternity(Life<3)

Then i read to the end of Chapter 7
struggling with sin.
the subject reminds me of the many friends i have including myself who complain about this.
how can we live the life we are asked to live, the life we are made to live
when sin is just always there!
even when we are free from sin through Christ, it still lingers and it will always be like the angel and the devil on either shoulder.
And we ask ourselves, HOW CAN WE JUST GO WITHOUT EVER SINNING?!
-Ch 7:24-25-
"What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!"
Although at time we feel that it is impossible to do what's right...
we need to look at His Truth
and KNOW
we can conquer sin by His grace. By His influence, the spirit of God operating in us to regenerate and strengthen us to do what is just.
When we think of how hard it is to overcome sin,
we make it seem so complicated and impossible
but if you narrow down the "work" to one word:

SURRENDER

it's not as difficult to figure out how to live.
What if we really considered what it meant
to actually surrender EVERYTHING.
When you say i'll give my everything to God,
do you really consider EVERYTHING?
do you know what everything is?

what if we surrendered everything
our thoughts
our emotions
our wants
our needs
our desires
our hopes
our trust
our plans
our possessions
our treasures
our time
our words
our memories
our body
our work
our relationships
our phone conversation
our text messages
our hope
our anxieties
our fears
our life
our pride

ALL our love

to God.
